Meet the Warriors

Flower City Warriors is more than a hockey team—it's a united force of veterans, active duty service members, reservists, Guardsmen, DoD civilians, and military families who share a common bond: service, discipline, and brotherhood/sisterhood.

Our players come from diverse backgrounds and represent every branch of the United States military. Some have deployed overseas, some continue to serve, and others have transitioned into civilian life. But on the ice, we stand shoulder to shoulder as one team, united by a mission that never ends: support, camaraderie, and excellence.

When a Warrior puts on the jersey, they carry their branch, their family, and their community with them. Every shift, every game, and every event reflects the values instilled in us by military service—integrity, perseverance, and respect for the team.

Our Full Roster

Each member of Flower City Warriors plays a critical role—whether on the ice, in the locker room, or in the community. Our roster includes seasoned veterans, skilled competitors, beginners learning the game, and family members whose commitment to the military community makes them Warriors as well.

As part of a veteran hockey community that spans Upstate New York and beyond, our players proudly represent the strength, discipline, and resilience of those who have served.

Below is our active roster, including players from all branches, levels of experience, and roles within the organization.

Player Profiles & military Stories

Every Warrior has a unique path—stories shaped by service, sacrifice, family, and a shared love of the game. Our player profiles highlight who they are, where they’ve served, how they found Flower City Warriors, and what being part of this team means to them.

These stories help remind our community that the mission doesn’t end when military service does. For many, it simply takes a new form.

Team Leadership

The strength of our organization begins with leaders who embody the Warrior Ethos. Our captains and hockey operations staff guide the team with discipline, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining a competitive yet supportive environment for all players.

Leadership roles reflect both military structure and hockey tradition—ensuring clear communication, accountability, and team unity on and off the ice.

Warrior Culture On and Off the Ice

Being a Warrior isn’t defined by rank, MOS, deployment history, or hockey skill level—it’s defined by how we show up for one another.

Our culture mirrors the military principles we grew up with:

  • Accountability: We hold ourselves and each other to a higher standard.

  • Discipline: We practice with purpose and play with intention.

  • Camaraderie: No one is left behind on or off the ice.

  • Integrity: Victory means nothing without honor.

  • Respect: For the game, for our opponents, and for each other.

Whether we’re competing in tournaments, volunteering in the community, or gathering off the ice, the Warrior identity is always present.
