3rd Annual Guardian’s Cup Tournament
March 6–8, 2026
Tim Hortons Iceplex – Rochester, NY
The Flower City Warriors were proud to participate in the 3rd Annual Guardian’s Cup, a powerful tournament bringing together active and retired first responders and veterans for a weekend of competition, camaraderie, and purpose.
Hosted at Tim Hortons Iceplex, the event supports the New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program (NYLEAP)—a nonprofit dedicated to providing free, confidential mental health resources and training for law enforcement, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders across New York State. With officer suicides tragically outpacing line-of-duty deaths, NYLEAP’s mission is critical in supporting the well-being of those who serve our communities.
Building on over $18,000 raised in previous years, the 2026 tournament continued efforts to fund these essential programs and raise awareness around mental health in the first responder community.
Flower City Warriors Participation & Results
Flower City Warriors proudly fielded 3 teams and 45 players across multiple divisions:
1 team in Rec D Division
2 teams in Warrior Division
The Rec D team advanced to the championship game, delivering a hard-fought performance before narrowly falling 4–3 to the Erie County Sheriff’s Department in the finals.
A Meaningful Moment
During the tournament, FCW leadership had the honor of presenting a flag and commemorative plaque to the Pittsburgh Warriors. This gesture was made in memory of a fallen team member, while also welcoming their team to Rochester and thanking them for their role in hosting and supporting the broader warrior hockey community.
