What does Flower City Warriors mean to you?

I was medically retired from the Navy after 18 years. One day you have direction, purpose, and a sense of togetherness, and the next day you’re alone. I struggled with anger, depression, and anxiety without an outlet until I went to the Amerks Alumni skate and met some fellow veterans that felt the same. Regardless of what the team name is, Warrior hockey has given me that camaraderie and friendship missing from a medically interrupted career.

Every teammate, opponent, and coach involved has my eternal thanks for bringing the Warrior ethos from long-forgotten battles into my civilian life.”
